The Riverbend permit allows Duke Power to burn mineral oil containing polychlorinated biphenyls (PCB). The Title V permit states that total PCB content shall not exceed 500 ppm and that, "Total maximum boiler injection rate shall not exceed 10 percent of the total fuel feed rate." Mineral oil may be burned at one unit at a time. At Riverbend, Duke claculates the potential fuel use at 229,094,604 gallons of fuel oil.
